what is the use of pvp if using a pve character?
hi, i know that u can unlock skills, runes and weapon upgrades by pvp-ing, but is there any other more compeling reason to pvp apart from the fun of it?
do titles do anything? are there weapons and armor that can be obtained from pvp?
there would come a time where u dont need new skills, runes and weapon upgrades therefore im wondering what other purpose it would serve to engage in pvp. thanks!

Technically there is no real reward that applies outward. I mean, you can get zaishen keys, and there's the hall of heroes chest, but otherwise, everything you get from pvp helps in pvp only.
Except maybe skill unlocks, which help your heroes.
However, PVP is one of the primary selling points of the game, and it can be very fun to follow the metagame and whatnot and make strategies to defeat an ever-changing and ever-intelligent foe. At that point, you're not doing PVP for in-game rewards, you're doing PVP for the sake of PVP.

Fun, challenge, maybe a tad of status... Also you can go on guru and tell people that they're bad.

Really though, if you only intend to pvp as an extension of farming, please stay in pve, because farmers tend to make it less fun. If you are pvping, you should ideally be doing it because you enjoy competition and teamwork etc, not for rewards

There are rewards in pvp that can generate items for your pve toons. Besides emotes and titles there are the Halls chest and zaishen chest. Pvping is probably not the most effective way of generating loot for your pve toons.
The reason one pvps generally is if they enjoy structured competitive games. Its basically an entirely different game type from pve.

Can I ask you a question? What is the reason to pve other than slaying millions of stupid mobs that always act the same? Or in other words, why would you play a computer game?
IMO playing computer games is supposed to be fun. PVP is fun since you play against other people which makes it intresting. Playing PVE is boring since you play against computer AI that always acts the same.
Don't get me wrong, I like pve, but pvp is much more rewarding in terms of fun. If the only thing you need from a game is grinding for numbers and shiny stuff then pvp is not for you.

There will be a time when you have every weapon, armor, etc. in the game. So what will be the point of PvE then? It's like asking, what's the point of Counterstrike since all it is, is just PvP. You can't even unlock weapons

As for rewards:
You get cool emotes in HA.
Your guild gets rating in GVG.
And the thrill of beating a human team is totaly differet, than finishing a PVE mission. The same difference as winning a football game or a basketball game compared to working in your garden.

Hey guys, whatever happened to the time when games weren't a job, but were actually fun?
I play because it's enjoyable. When it's not, I don't.

should there be any other reason besides the fun of it all ?
most of the "real" PvPers (the ones that have been PvPing for ages and still enjoy it) are way past UAX. So no, there's no "benefit" anymore. Who cares ? It's still fun. Games are ment to be fun.
